Leather Reconditioning
Regular maintenance. Leather that never needs restoration.
What Is Included
Everything Covered
Leather reconditioning is the maintenance service that prevents the need for leather restoration. Regular conditioning — every 3–6 months depending on use — removes accumulated body oil and product residue, restores moisture balance, and keeps leather supple and crack-free. Think of it as a deep conditioning treatment rather than a repair.
- Full leather surface clean with pH-balanced aviation leather cleaner
- Body oil, product buildup, and surface contamination removal
- pH-balanced prep to open leather pores for conditioning
- Premium conditioner application — all leather surfaces
- UV-protective finish coat on exposed leather panels
- Post-service wipe-down and inspection
Our Process
How We Do It
Leather Assessment
We assess condition across all leather surfaces — noting any early cracking, fading, or wear areas to flag before they become restoration-level damage.
Deep Clean
pH-balanced cleaner removes body oils, product residue, and surface contamination that block conditioner absorption.
Prep
A light prep wipe opens the leather pores so conditioner penetrates deeply rather than sitting on the surface.
Conditioning
Premium conditioner is worked into all leather surfaces. We do not rush this step — even coverage and full absorption takes time.
Protection
A UV-protective finish is applied to leather in sunlight-exposed positions. UV degradation is the leading cause of leather fading and surface cracking.
Why It Matters
The Case for Precision
Leather that is conditioned regularly never needs restoration. A full leather restoration costs several times more than a reconditioning visit. Regular maintenance also keeps aircraft presentation consistently high — important for charter operators and owners who fly clients frequently.

FAQ
Common Questions
Reconditioning is preventive maintenance — cleaning and conditioning on leather in good condition. Restoration addresses leather that is already faded, cracked, or visibly worn. Reconditioning every 3–6 months eliminates the need for restoration.
Every 3–6 months for actively flown aircraft. Aircraft in storage benefit from a full reconditioning before return to service regardless of time elapsed.
Yes. Leather reconditioning pairs well with a full interior detail. We offer combined service pricing for both on the same visit.
Aviation-rated conditioners compatible with both genuine leather and synthetic aviation leather. We do not use silicone-based products, which build up on the surface and block moisture exchange.
Dry leather without visible damage is ideal for reconditioning. Waiting until cracks appear means restoration is required. Address dryness early.
