TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: June 2026 · DetailiX Aviation Detailing · dxaviationdetailing.ca

1. Services

DetailiX Aviation Detailing provides mobile aircraft appearance detailing services including exterior washing, interior cleaning, ceramic coating, paint correction, brightwork polishing, de-ice boot care, and leather restoration. Our services are appearance-related only and do not constitute aviation maintenance, repair, or airworthiness functions as defined by Transport Canada regulations.

2. Booking, Deposit, Cancellation & Fulfillment

2.1 Booking Confirmation. A booking is provisional until DetailiX Aviation Detailing has received the deposit described in Section 2.2. Quoted dates and times are held but not guaranteed until the deposit is confirmed.

2.2 Deposit. A deposit of 15% of the total quoted service price is required to confirm every detailing booking. The deposit is credited toward the final invoice at the time of service; the remaining balance is due upon completion of service.

2.3 Cancellation by Client.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled service date and time: the deposit is refunded in full, or transferred to a new date at the client's preference.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service date and time, or no-shows (aircraft/site inaccessible at the scheduled time through no fault of DetailiX Aviation Detailing): the deposit is forfeited.
  • To cancel or reschedule, contact us at info@dxaviationdetailing.com or 819-581-2026. Cancellation is effective when acknowledged by DetailiX Aviation Detailing, not when sent.

2.4 Cancellation or Rescheduling by DetailiX Aviation Detailing. Services may be postponed or rescheduled at our discretion where weather, lighting, or site conditions would compromise service quality or technician safety (e.g., precipitation, high winds, extreme temperature, inadequate hangar space). In this case, the deposit is carried forward to the rescheduled date at no additional charge and no forfeiture applies. We will notify the client as early as reasonably possible.

2.5 Client Responsibilities. To fulfill a booking, the client must ensure:

  • The aircraft is accessible at the agreed date, time, and location
  • Any required airport badges, security clearances, or facility access are arranged in advance
  • The aircraft is not scheduled for flight during the service window
  • Water and power access is available on-site where the service requires it

Where these conditions are not met and service cannot proceed, this is treated as a client cancellation under Section 2.3, and the 48-hour deposit forfeiture rule applies.

2.6 Scope of Service. Fulfillment is limited to the specific service package and aircraft class confirmed at booking. Pre-existing damage, corrosion, or contamination beyond the scope of standard detailing (e.g., structural repair, paint restoration beyond correction, biohazard remediation) will be identified during service and quoted separately before any additional work is performed.

3. Aircraft Condition Documentation

We photograph all aircraft surfaces before and after each service. This documentation is for the protection of both parties. DetailiX Aviation Detailing accepts no liability for pre-existing damage, scratches, chips, or defects that are documented in the pre-service photographs. Any damage claims must be raised at the time of service completion and documented before the DetailiX Aviation Detailing team departs the ramp.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept e-transfer, credit card, and cash. Corporate accounts and fleet programs are offered on net-30 terms subject to a credit approval process. Outstanding invoices beyond 30 days may be subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month.

5. Refunds

5.1 Services Rendered. Because our services are performed on-site and consumed at the time of delivery, completed services are generally non-refundable. If you're not satisfied with the quality of work performed, contact us within 48 hours of service completion and we will assess the concern.

5.2 Remediation First. Where a service is found not to meet the standard described in your service package, our remedy is to re-perform the affected work at no additional charge, scheduled at the earliest mutual availability. We do not offer cash refunds as a first remedy for quality concerns — re-service is our standard resolution.

5.3 When a Refund Applies. A refund (full or partial, at our discretion) applies only where:

  • DetailiX Aviation Detailing fails to deliver the service and cannot reschedule within a reasonable timeframe, or
  • Payment was collected for a service that was cancelled by DetailiX Aviation Detailing and not rescheduled, or
  • A billing error occurred (duplicate charge, incorrect amount)

5.4 Deposits. Deposit refunds are governed by Section 2.3 (Cancellation by Client): deposits are refunded in full for cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled service, and forfeited for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service or for no-shows.

5.5 How to Request. Refund or remediation requests must be submitted in writing to info@dxaviationdetailing.com within 48 hours of service completion, with photos where applicable. Requests outside this window will be reviewed at our discretion but are not guaranteed.

6. Warranty Disclaimer

6.1 Services Provided As Performed. Detailing, cleaning, and coating services are provided based on the condition of the aircraft at the time of service. We do not warrant or guarantee results beyond the visual and functional standard achieved at completion of service.

6.2 Ceramic Coating and Protective Products. Where ceramic coating (including System X or other certified products) is applied, any performance claims regarding durability, hydrophobic properties, or protection are those of the product manufacturer, not DetailiX Aviation Detailing. Actual longevity and performance depend on factors outside our control, including:

  • Storage conditions (hangared vs. outdoor/tarmac exposure)
  • Frequency of flight and environmental exposure (UV, precipitation, de-icing fluid, salt air)
  • Aircraft washing and maintenance practices after service
  • Pre-existing surface condition at time of application

We do not warrant a specific duration of protection or performance for any coating or sealant applied.

6.3 No Implied Warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DetailiX Aviation Detailing disclaims all implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to services performed. Services are provided on an "as performed" basis.

6.4 Manufacturer Warranties Unaffected. Nothing in this section limits any warranty provided directly by a product manufacturer (e.g., a ceramic coating manufacturer's own warranty program, where applicable and registered separately by the client).

6.5 Statutory Rights. Nothing in this Warranty Disclaimer excludes or limits any consumer protection rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Quebec or Canadian law, including rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, where applicable to this contract.

7. Liability Limitation

Our liability for any claim arising from services rendered is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages. Our liability does not extend to loss of use of the aircraft, missed flights, or financial losses arising from service scheduling.

8. Aircraft Access

The client or an authorized representative must arrange FBO ramp access for the DetailiX Aviation Detailing team. We do not enter aircraft cabins without express permission from the owner or authorized crew member. We do not operate aircraft or move aircraft for any reason.

9. Products and Materials

We use aviation-appropriate detailing products. If you have specific product restrictions for your aircraft (e.g., manufacturer restrictions on certain chemicals for composite surfaces, de-ice boot chemistry requirements), you must inform us at time of booking. We will accommodate documented restrictions at our reasonable discretion.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec City, Quebec.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
